How many ROCKY Statues are there?

With the news that Sylvester Stallone wants his ROCKY statue back, you may be asking: How many ROCKY status are there?

There are in fact three statues: the first which was created for the original ROCKY movie franchise, a second which was cast and located at the San Diego Hall of Champions (and later purchased by Sylvester Stallone), and a third which had been cast and in the gallery of the original artist, A. Thomas Schomberg. This third statue was purchased and installed in the PHL International Airport in November 2025.

Are the statues different? In reality, no. Each statue is from the same mold and their casting was overseen by A. Thomas Schomberg personally. The only difference is the timing at which the statues were cast and for what purpose.

So, can you still see a ROCKY statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art? Of course! The second ROCKY statue, owned by Sylvester Stallone, will be permanently placed at the top of the famous PHL Museum of Art ROCKY Steps. The first and original will be returned to Mr. Stallone.
